radio broadcasting
Over-the-air programming
Radio broadcasting is the transmission of audio content—music, news, talk, or other programming—over radio waves to a dispersed audience.
Unlike point-to-point communication, broadcasting sends signals to anyone with a receiver tuned to the frequency.
The term distinguishes this mass medium from television broadcasting or newer forms like podcasting and streaming.
