Zoom
Pandemic meeting app
Zoom is a video conferencing platform that became ubiquitous during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The brand name quickly became a verb: Let's Zoom tomorrow, We Zoomed with the family.
A Zoom call or Zoom meeting refers to any video conference, sometimes even on competing platforms.
Zoom fatigue describes exhaustion from excessive video calls. (Lowercase zoom means to move fast or adjust a camera lens.)
