tyrants
Absolute power abusers
Tyrants is the plural of tyrant—rulers who exercise power cruelly or oppressively.
The word originally meant any absolute ruler, but now implies abuse of authority: The colonists viewed King George as a tyrant.
Extended to anyone who dominates others harshly: My boss is a tyrant about deadlines.
History remembers tyrants and the revolutions that toppled them.
