authoritarians
Iron-fisted leaders
Authoritarians are people who favor or enforce strict obedience to authority at the expense of personal freedom.
The term describes both leaders who concentrate power and suppress dissent, and followers who prefer strong hierarchical control: The regime was run by authoritarians who tolerated no opposition.
As an adjective, authoritarian describes systems, tendencies, or personalities marked by this preference for unquestioning compliance.
