parliamentarians
Elected legislative representatives
Parliamentarians are members of a parliament—elected representatives who debate and vote on legislation.
The term also refers to experts in parliamentary procedure, those who advise on rules of order in legislative bodies or formal meetings: The club consulted a parliamentarian before amending its bylaws.
Historically, Parliamentarians were supporters of Parliament against King Charles I in the English Civil War.
