tallyho
Fox hunter's shout
Tallyho is a cry used by hunters to signal that a fox has been spotted, urging the hounds to give chase.
The exclamation has spread beyond foxhunting to announce any sighting or discovery: Tallyho! There's the exit.
It carries a distinctly British, old-fashioned flavor, often used playfully or ironically.
