yell

Raise your voice

Yell is to cry out loudly, usually from strong emotion—fear, anger, excitement, or urgency: She yelled for help.

Unlike scream, yell doesn't necessarily imply a high pitch.

A yell is also such a cry.

In American universities, a yell is a coordinated chant led by cheerleaders: the school fight yell.
