swing bridge
Rotating river crossing
A swing bridge is a movable bridge that rotates horizontally on a central pivot to allow boats to pass.
Unlike drawbridges that lift upward, swing bridges turn parallel to the waterway, clearing the channel: The swing bridge opened to let the tall ship through.
