subclavian
Under the clavicle
Subclavian means beneath the clavicle—the collarbone.
The term appears almost exclusively in anatomy and medicine, describing structures that pass under or lie below this bone: the subclavian artery, subclavian vein, subclavian muscle.
These vessels are major pathways carrying blood between the heart and arms.
