stenciling
Cutout pattern transfer
Stenciling is the technique of applying paint, ink, or other material through cutouts in a template to create a design.
The stencil blocks some areas while allowing color through others, producing repeated patterns or lettering: She spent the afternoon stenciling flowers along the nursery walls.
The method appears in home décor, street art, and industrial marking.
Also spelled stencilling.
