wheatpaste

Poster-hanger's adhesive

Wheatpaste is a simple adhesive made from wheat flour and water, used especially for posting paper flyers and posters on walls and other surfaces.

Street artists and activists favor it because it's cheap, effective, and washes off more easily than commercial glues: We wheatpasted concert flyers all over the neighborhood.

As a verb, to wheatpaste is to affix something using this mixture.
