star jumps
Arms and legs out
Star jumps are an exercise where you jump from a standing position with arms at your sides to a spread position with legs apart and arms extended overhead, then return.
The movement forms a star shape at its peak.
Called jumping jacks in American English: We did fifty star jumps to warm up.
