hopping
Moving by leaps
Hopping is jumping on one foot, or moving in short bouncy leaps like a rabbit or frog.
The word often appears as a modifier: bar-hopping, island-hopping, channel-hopping—moving quickly from one to the next.
Something hopping is busy or lively: The club was hopping last night.
To be hopping mad is to be furious, as if jumping with rage.
