Snowplowing is the act of clearing snow from roads and surfaces with a plow.
In skiing, snowplowing means angling the skis inward to form a wedge shape for braking or slow turns—the first technique most beginners learn: She snowplowed down the bunny slope.
Figuratively, snowplowing can mean pushing obstacles aside to clear a path, sometimes applied to overprotective parents who remove every difficulty from their children's way.
