windrow

Raked hay line

A windrow is a long, low ridge of material—typically hay, grain, or leaves—raked together for drying or collection.

Farmers leave cut hay in windrows before baling.

The term extends to any similar linear accumulation: windrows of snow left by the plow, windrows of seaweed along the beach.

To windrow is to arrange material this way.
