series circuit
Single-loop connection
A series circuit is an electrical circuit in which components are connected end to end, forming a single path for current to flow.
If any component fails or is disconnected, the entire circuit breaks—like old Christmas lights that all go dark when one bulb burns out.
Contrast with parallel circuit, where current has multiple paths.
