sealion
Flippered Pacific mammal
A sealion is a large marine mammal with external ear flaps and long flippers, found along coastlines worldwide.
Unlike true seals, sealions can rotate their rear flippers to walk on land.
They're known for their barking calls and agility in water.
In internet slang, to sealion is to harass someone with persistent, seemingly polite requests for evidence or debate—named after a webcomic depicting such behavior: He's not asking in good faith, he's just sealioning.
