sea stars
Five-armed marine invertebrates
Sea stars are marine animals with radial symmetry, typically having five arms extending from a central body.
The term is increasingly preferred over starfish, since these creatures aren't fish.
They move slowly along ocean floors, feeding on mollusks and other invertebrates.
We found sea stars in the tide pools.
