sawshark
Blade-nosed predator
A sawshark is a shark with a long, flat snout edged with teeth, resembling a saw blade.
Found mainly in temperate and tropical waters, sawsharks use this distinctive snout to slash through schools of fish and probe sandy bottoms for prey.
Not to be confused with sawfish, which are rays rather than sharks.
