Yoga's resting pose
Savasana is a yoga pose in which you lie flat on your back, arms at your sides, palms up, eyes closed.
Also called corpse pose, it typically concludes a yoga session as a period of complete stillness and relaxation: We held savasana for five minutes at the end of class.
The pose looks simple but requires quieting both body and mind.
