mountain pose
Grounded standing posture
Mountain pose is a foundational yoga posture in which you stand upright with feet together, arms at your sides, weight evenly distributed, and spine tall—appearing still and grounded like a mountain.
Also called by its Sanskrit name, tadasana.
Though it looks simple, it establishes alignment principles used throughout yoga practice: We'll return to mountain pose between sequences.
