razor clam

Long thin mollusk

A razor clam is a burrowing saltwater clam with an elongated shell resembling a straight razor.

Found along sandy coastlines, razor clams are harvested for food and dig rapidly into wet sand when disturbed.

We dug for razor clams at low tide.
