process
Series of actions
Process is a series of actions or steps toward an end result: the hiring process, a manufacturing process.
It also names ongoing activity: Peace is a process, not an event.
In law, process refers to legal proceedings or a summons.
In biology, a process is a projection from a body part.
To process is to put through a procedure: process an application, process meat.
Processed foods have been chemically altered for preservation or flavor.
