anarchy
Society without rulers
Anarchy is the absence of government or organized authority, a state where no ruling power exists to enforce laws or maintain order.
Political anarchists advocate for this as an ideal, believing people can organize themselves without coercive institutions.
More commonly, anarchy describes any situation of chaos, disorder, or lawlessness: The city descended into anarchy after the power grid failed.
The adjective anarchic describes conditions resembling this disorder, while an anarchist is someone who promotes or creates such conditions.
