Dense paper board
Pressboard is a dense, smooth paperboard made by compressing layers of paper or wood pulp under high pressure.
It serves as a sturdy backing material in notebooks, clipboards, and packaging.
In electrical applications, pressboard provides insulation in transformers and switchgear.
The material is harder and more rigid than cardboard but less durable than hardboard.
