pulping
Reducing to paste
Pulping is the process of reducing something to pulp—a soft, wet, shapeless mass.
In papermaking, pulping breaks down wood or plant fibers into the slurry that becomes paper.
More viscerally, pulping describes destroying books by grinding them into recyclable mush: The publisher pulped ten thousand unsold copies.
A face can be pulped by violence.
