Tencel

Sustainable cellulose textile

Tencel is a brand name for lyocell, a fiber made from wood pulp through a closed-loop process that recycles water and solvents.

The fabric is soft, breathable, and moisture-wicking, popular in sustainable fashion: This shirt is 100% Tencel.

Like kleenex or xerox, the trademark often appears lowercase when used generically for lyocell fabrics.
