pilot house
Ship's control room
A pilot house is an enclosed structure on a ship or boat from which it is steered and navigated.
It sits on deck, typically elevated for better visibility, and contains the helm, navigation instruments, and communications equipment.
On smaller vessels, it may be called the wheelhouse: The captain watched the storm approach from the pilot house.
