monitors
Watches over carefully
Monitors are devices that display information—computer screens showing visual output, or medical equipment tracking vital signs.
A monitor is also someone who watches or checks on something: a hall monitor supervises students, an election monitor observes voting.
To monitor is to observe systematically: We're monitoring the situation closely.
Monitor lizards are large reptiles, some exceeding ten feet.
