sudo
Temporary root access
Sudo is a Unix/Linux command that grants temporary administrator privileges, short for "superuser do." It allows users to execute commands requiring elevated permissions: sudo apt-get update, sudo rm -rf /.
In internet culture, sudo has become a joking way to add authority to any request: sudo make me a sandwich.
