off
Away from work
Off has two core meanings.
One is of separation (a restaurant just off the highway, borrow some money off your uncle); the other is of suspension or stoppage (the policeman was off duty at the time).
Off is opposite to on in many of its meanings but does not have the same wide range of extended meanings as on has.
