curdled
Separated into solids
Curdled describes milk or other liquids that have separated into lumps and watery liquid, usually through spoilage or acid: The milk had curdled in the heat.
Figuratively, something that curdles has gone sour or wrong: His enthusiasm curdled into resentment.
To make someone's blood curdle is to horrify them.
