octocopters
Multi-rotor flying machines
Octocopters are drones or unmanned aircraft with eight rotors, offering greater lift capacity and stability than quadcopters.
The redundant motors provide safety—an octocopter can often continue flying if one rotor fails.
They're used for heavy camera equipment, industrial inspections, and cargo delivery: The film crew used an octocopter for the aerial shots.
