Where paragraphs begin
Newlines are line-break characters in digital text—the invisible codes that tell a computer to start a new line.
A programmer might say strip the newlines from the input or the file uses Windows-style newlines.
Different operating systems historically used different newline characters, a source of persistent compatibility headaches.
