sestet
Sonnet's final section
A sestet is a six-line unit of verse, most commonly the final six lines of an Italian sonnet following the eight-line octave.
While the octave typically presents a problem or situation, the sestet provides resolution or commentary.
The term also applies to any six-line stanza: The poem's closing sestet shifted to a more reflective tone.
