medievalists
Students of feudalism
Medievalists are scholars who specialize in the medieval period—roughly the fifth through fifteenth centuries in European history.
The term covers historians, literary scholars, art historians, and others who study the Middle Ages: The conference brought together medievalists from across the humanities.
A medievalist might focus on anything from illuminated manuscripts to feudal economics to Chaucer.
