malformation
Defective body development
A malformation is an abnormally formed body part or structure, typically present from birth: The ultrasound revealed a heart malformation.
The term applies to any deviation from normal anatomical development—cleft palates, clubbed feet, misshapen organs.
Malformed is the adjective: a malformed limb.
