scoliosis
Sideways spine bend
Scoliosis is an abnormal lateral curvature of the spine, typically appearing as an S-shape or C-shape when viewed from behind.
Most cases develop during adolescence and range from mild to severe.
Pronounced curvature may require bracing or surgery: Her scoliosis was caught early and corrected with a back brace.
