lineworkers
Power grid maintainers
Lineworkers are technicians who install, maintain, and repair electrical power lines and telecommunications cables.
The work involves climbing utility poles or working from bucket trucks, often in dangerous conditions and during storms when power must be restored.
Also called linemen, though lineworkers is the gender-neutral term: Lineworkers spent the night restoring power after the hurricane.
