Film set rigger

The key grip is the head of the grip department on a film or television production, responsible for camera support equipment, rigging, and lighting setups.

Grips handle the physical infrastructure of shooting—dollies, cranes, flags, stands—everything except the electrical work.

The key grip supervises the crew and coordinates with the director of photography: The key grip figured out how to rig the camera for the stunt sequence.
