juror
Verdict-rendering citizen
A juror is a member of a jury, the group of citizens who hear evidence in a court trial and deliver a verdict.
Jurors are typically selected from voter registration or driver's license records and must meet certain qualifications, such as being of legal age and having no felony convictions.
The jurors deliberated for three days before reaching a unanimous verdict.
In the U.S., criminal trials usually require twelve jurors, while civil cases may use fewer.
