joint locks
Grappling control moves
Joint locks are grappling techniques that hyperextend or rotate an opponent's joint beyond its normal range, causing pain or injury.
Common in martial arts like judo, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling, they target elbows, shoulders, knees, and wrists: He tapped out when she applied an armbar.
Joint locks can force submission or immobilize an attacker.
