iguanodont
Thumb-spiked dinosaur
An iguanodont is a large herbivorous dinosaur of the group Iguanodontia, characterized by a beaked snout and often a distinctive thumb spike.
These plant-eaters walked on two or four legs and flourished during the Cretaceous period.
The name references their iguana-like teeth, though they were far larger than any modern lizard.
