hummock
Low rounded hill
A hummock is a small rounded mound or hillock, typically of earth, ice, or vegetation.
The word appears most often in descriptions of landscapes: The tundra stretched out in hummocks of frozen peat.
In polar regions, hummocks are ridges of broken ice pushed up by pressure.
The adjective hummocky describes terrain with many such rises.
