tor

Craggy British hilltop

A tor is a high, rocky hill or a prominent rocky peak, especially one rising abruptly from surrounding terrain.

The word is most common in British English, particularly for granite outcrops in southwestern England: We hiked up to the tor for the view. (Capitalized Tor is the anonymity network.)
