diplegia
Both sides affected
Diplegia is paralysis affecting corresponding parts on both sides of the body, typically the legs.
It's most commonly seen in spastic diplegia, a form of cerebral palsy where the legs are significantly more affected than the arms: Children with diplegia often walk with a scissored gait.
