quadriplegia
Four-limb paralysis
Quadriplegia is paralysis of all four limbs—both arms and both legs—typically resulting from spinal cord injury to the neck or upper back.
The condition also affects the torso, often impairing breathing and bladder control.
Also called tetraplegia, particularly in medical contexts outside North America: He's been living with quadriplegia since the diving accident.
