ataxia
Coordination loss condition
Ataxia is a medical term for the loss of full control over bodily movements, particularly the coordination required for walking, balance, and fine motor tasks.
It results from damage to the cerebellum or other parts of the nervous system and can be caused by stroke, multiple sclerosis, genetic conditions, or alcohol abuse.
Someone with ataxia may have an unsteady gait, slurred speech, or difficulty with precise movements like buttoning a shirt.
