grenade launcher
Fires small bombs
A grenade launcher is a weapon designed to fire explosive grenades farther and more accurately than they can be thrown by hand.
Military versions range from single-shot attachments mounted under rifle barrels to standalone automatic weapons.
The term also applies to devices that fire tear gas, smoke, or other non-lethal projectiles: Police used grenade launchers to disperse the crowd.
