futurist
Trends prediction expert
A futurist is someone who studies, predicts, or speculates about future developments in society, technology, or culture.
The term applies both to professional forecasters who advise businesses and governments and to enthusiasts who engage with speculative possibilities.
Futurist also refers to an adherent of Futurism, the early 20th-century avant-garde movement in art and literature that celebrated speed, machinery, and modernity.
The company hired a futurist to predict consumer trends over the next decade.
